The Hedland Men's Shed is kicking off one of our first workshop projects—building new workbenches for the Shed. It's a great opportunity to get involved, meet other members, and help create something that will be used for years to come. Whether you're an experienced woodworker or you've never picked up a drill before, everyone is welcome. There'll be plenty of support, advice and a few laughs along the way. This isn't just about building benches—it's about building skills, confidence, friendships and a stronger Men's Shed. As we work together, you'll have the opportunity to learn practical woodworking skills, become familiar with hand and power tools, understand measuring and construction techniques, and pick up handy tips that you can use on projects around your own home. We'll also be sharing practical knowledge on everyday home maintenance and repairs—from fixing doors and shelves to simple timber repairs and other DIY jobs that can save you money and give you the confidence to tackle projects yourself.
